In reviewing our site statistics through Compete.com it appeared the entire rental market had taken a hit in traffic for the month of December... or did they?
In looking out Rentals For Rent's.com site statistics Compete.com has R4R recorded with a low low 1499 visitors yet Google analytics and traffic logs show nearly 4 times that amount.
Did anyone else have similar issues? is there something we are missing?

Your Google analytics will show real people while your log files also add in bots.
Just about every site takes a dip in Dec.
Google Analytics is reporting quite a bit more. Did you mean that Compete.com only reports real people where as Analytics includes spiders?

I would have to look but I think compete looks at unique visits that might explain it
